Dan Bahat is one of the world's leading experts on ancient Jerusalem and on the Holy Land in the Crusader era. He served as the district archaeologist for Jerusalem and has published extensively on the city's history. In addition, he has excavated at Masada, Tel Dan, Beth Shemesh, Sefed, Beth Shean and many other sites. He is currently a lecturer at the University of Toronto.
