In this time and age when genocide is still rampant and world leaders dare to say that the Holocaust never occurred, Dirk's mission is not to let anyone forget how hundreds of thousands of citizens of Holland were willing to risk their lives to save the Jews.
Dirk Van Leenen wants to show that the Holocaust was real and that there were many people who were willing to help keep others from destruction. The Dirk experienced the war himself and was involved in the resistance as a young boy.
